Managing Director Katja Teixeira re-elected to the Executive Board!

Federal Association of City and Town Marketing Germany. On the 15th of September 2025, Katja Teixeira, Managing Director of Siegen City Marketing, was elected to the Federal Executive Board of the German Association for City and Town Marketing (bcsd) for the second time at the German City Marketing Day in Münster.

She first became a member of the Federal Executive Board in April last year. Under the new Federal Chairman Gerold Leppa (City Marketing Braunschweig), Katja Teixeira will work with the other members of the bcsd to promote sustainable, attractive and functional city centres.

‘I am delighted that my colleagues in the association have once again placed their trust in me and continue to support my work on the Federal Executive Committee,’ explains Katja Teixeira. ‘We in Siegen also benefit directly from this commitment, as we are not only immediately aware of new developments, but can also actively help shape them.’
The bcsd was founded in Berlin in 1996 and represents more than 500 city and urban marketing organisations from across Germany. The federal association supports city marketing organisations in their work to create liveable and sustainable cities. The bcsd sees city marketing as a joint task for residents, administrators, politicians and businesses to further develop the identity and attractiveness of a city.

As a link between public and private actors, city marketing promotes cooperation, tests new solutions and translates future topics into concrete projects. The bcsd supports this work through networking, exchange with experts and strong partnerships – and is thus a recognised point of contact for future topics in cities.
