The city wall from olden times

Around two kilometres of the fortification that once encircled Siegen have been preserved to this day.

Along the way, participants benefit from explanations of the locations of the old city gates, which live on in modern-day street names like Kölner Tor and Marburger Tor. Guests also learn about the part played by Siegen citizens in financing and securing the old defensive structure, which stands today as one of the city’s main monuments.
