Sieg Carré: Space to work, shop and eat

That’s the promise of Sieg Carré, which opened in 2006 opposite Siegen’s main station. The 15,000-square-metre complex provides an attractive new base for many specialist shops, restaurants and traditional Siegen businesses. The upper levels accommodate the broadcaster WDR along with other companies and medical practices.

Shopaholics are attracted by Siegen’s long-standing Schulze clothes shop, with its ‘Schulze: Mode im Sieg Carré’ and S1 outlets; there is also a branch of Zara, the Spanish fashion chain, along with Leder Jäger, Siegen’s market leader for leather goods, luggage and fashion. Also represented in Sieg Carré are Giesler tobacco products and Bechtel stationery supplies (both of which were located opposite the station for decades) and the Siegerland Reisebüro travel agent. Across a spacious indoor and outdoor area, Siegen-based master confectioner and Maître Chocolatier Markus Podzimek presents his sweet and savoury specialities. Next door is the Café & Bar Celona, serving tasty meals and drinks from breakfast to evening cocktails; facing this is the Pane e Vino restaurant, which specialises in delicious Italian classics.
