On the banks of the Sieg, visitors can expect a relaxed atmosphere with food trucks, cocktails, drinks and sweet treats. Calm, chilled-out music creates the perfect atmosphere. At the Markt and Kornmarkt, too, a diverse range of street food, drinks and small activities beckons, accompanied by pleasant background music.

AURINIA, the magical ‘Sterntaler’ walk through the old town, offers a special experience for the whole family. At several stops along the way, participants work together to create a glowing star on the Marktplatz – participation is free of charge. For the first time, St Nicholas’ Church will also be transformed into a lighthouse visible from afar, whilst the city walls and Herrengarten will be impressively illuminated. Walking acts, such as a glowing unicorn, and fiery shows on Rathausplatz will provide further magical moments.

Another highlight is the production ‘Die Träumerei der Schatten’ (The Dreaming of Shadows) in the castle grounds, which takes place on both evenings from 10 pm to 1 am. Light art, shadow theatre and poetic drama combine to create a fascinating world of experience, complemented by Chris Kaiser’s sand art in the castle courtyard.
