25 years of MittwochsIn! In 2025, the music festival celebrated its 25th anniversary. From the 2nd of July to the 13th of August, there was plenty to listen to every Wednesday evening from 6 pm on the square at the Lower Castle. The programme included six top bands, delicious food from the barbecue, freshly tapped beer and much more.
The music festival kicked off with ‘UnArt’, the well-known Siegen cover band that gives each song its very own, typical ‘UnArt’ style. After the break on 9 July due to the AOK company run, it was the turn of ‘Seven 4 Fun’ with a loud funk-rock-pop party. A week later, the cover band ‘Take O Me’ celebrated a revival of the 1980s and brought the iconic songs of Michael Jackson, Phil Collins and Neue Deutsche Welle back to life.
The following Wednesday, Hörgerät, one of the country's favourite German rock bands, performed. The passionate musicians performed cover hits as well as their own songs. The next gig was given by ‘Mission:2Party’ with two-part vocals and guitar sound. On the 13th of August, the band Chaosmeile closed this year's MittwochsIn. Their repertoire included real classics from pop history as well as current chart songs.
