Martini Church
The Martini Church on the western rocky spur of the Siegberg is the oldest surviving sacred building in Siegen. It was built in the 16th century as a pseudo-basilica, a mixture of basilica and hall church.
According to archaeological finds such as an uncovered floor mosaic with sacred ornaments, its roots go back even further to the 8th century. The church is dedicated to the patron saint of the city, St. Martin.
