At 1 pm, Mayor Tristan Vitt will open the Old Town Festival on Pfarrer-Ochse-Platz. Many local residents will also be opening their courtyards, gardens and homes, inviting visitors to enjoy special encounters in a unique atmosphere.

Pfarrer-Ochse-Platz & the Old Town

On the stage at Pfarrer-Ochse-Platz, a varied programme of music promises top-class entertainment. The line-up includes Max Goedeke, Das Syndikat and the Beselicher Basin Street Band, who will delight audiences with their distinctive blend of jazz, swing and Dixieland. There’s plenty for children and families to discover too: at 57Wasser, little treasure hunters can go gem hunting. The popular AURINIA stamp rally takes you on an exciting tour of discovery through Siegen’s Old Town. Anyone who finds all the stops and completes their stamp pass can look forward to a little surprise. A stroll through the historic alleyways is particularly worthwhile, as numerous Old Town residents are offering creative activities, culinary specialities and a glimpse into their lovingly decorated houses and gardens.

Market Square

A wide range of attractions awaits visitors of all ages in the Market Square. The Leuchtturm treats guests to frozen yoghurt, whilst ‘Mertens’ offers delicious crispy bowls, burgers and chips. Westenergie provides entertainment with a wheel of fortune. A particular highlight is the free activity course, covering around 500 square metres, organised by Kattas Spielewelt in partnership with Schau-ins-Land Reisen. With a test track for balance bikes and Bobby Cars, glitter tattoos and numerous active games, fun for the whole family is guaranteed.
